Weekend Thoughts / 37

Thursday's Sunset

Sunset photos are back!

Hey guys, how is your weekend going? It’s definitely gloomy and dreary here, which I actually don’t mind too much. (As long as it doesn’t flood — crossing my fingers!) It’s been kind of quiet here this week since Teddy was out of town for 3 days. Still jealous that he got to go to Denver, since I’ve never been, but he brought me back a squirrel mug, so that helped.

Here are some of my favorite reads from around the web this week:

I think this horseshoe braid looks so romantic — my hair might be a little too short, but I think I’ll try it out this weekend.

I LOVED this post about marriage and safe places by Amber Thomas. Sometimes I worry that I’m “not independent enough,” but this reminded me that it’s okay for your spouse to be your safe place, and that was really encouraging.

This house tour with Morgan Trinker over at ABM is so awesome — I love the strawberry-stamped wall and the reading nook by the window.

This What A Babe enamel pin is one of the coolest pins I’ve seen. Because let’s be honest, I really don’t want the Kim and Kanye pins.

Do you remember those slice-and-bake cookies with snowflakes or Christmas trees inside them? Molly figured out how to make pumpkin slice-and-bake cookies from scratch and my mind is officially blown.

Also, I’m sure you heard about Hurricane Patricia barreling towards the coast of Mexico yesterday. Thankfully no deaths have been reported so far in Mexico and it’s been downgraded to a tropical depression instead of a Category 5 hurricane. Such good news! However, it looks like Texas is in for some major rain fall, which might lead to another flood like the one we had earlier this year. So please keep Mexico and Texas in your thoughts and prayers!

I hope you guys have a safe, dry, and fun weekend!
